Hello to you internet users
my problem is that in my start menu I have wordpad but when I open it and write anything, a text or I have even tried several things since yesterday and when I save it on the desktop or elsewhere
it gives me an error message: no program is associated with this file to perform this action. create an association using the folder options application in the control panel.
so I tried everything since yesterday and nothing works the only thing I found is that when I go to program files and double click on Windows NT => accessories => wordpad then I open it, I choose the rtf file and then I can read it but if I don't go through this manipulation I get this error message!
incredible anyway!
if someone has had the same problem
please give me the solution because I can't take it anymore!
best regards...

Good evening,
Go to start, control panel, folder options, file types tab, select the DOC extension, click on modify, choose wordpad, then check: always use this program for this file type, OK, do the same with the RTF extension, OK, apply and OK.

You did a great job,
it's working like a charm, if I had known I would have posted earlier!!
so proud that I thought I could solve this all by myself like a big boy, yet I can’t complain about Windows, but I admit
it was really getting to me
thanks again to you ekim55
best regards...
