Hello,
As the title suggests, my camera is displaying "Card not initialized."
I am the one responsible, and it’s certainly due to formatting.
I would like to know how to get it working again, considering
that I made the mistake of not keeping the folders.
It's a 2 GB Transcend SD card.
There you go.
Thank you

Tell me, when you formatted it, what file system did you choose? (FAT, FAT32, NTFS)

Hello
if you have an SD reader on your PC, insert your card and see the result.

First Tribun
But after formatting in general... well there's nothing left lol
so nothing is happening
if you’re talking about autorun, I think it's still there
For Red:
honestly I don't remember, I no longer have access to my card reader
I'll take care of it on Sunday evening (so response on the forum on Monday)
However, if you're asking me the question, I assume that SD cards in cameras
are either in Fat (x or y) or NTFS, do you think I would have formatted with the wrong file system
In that case, what’s the right one? Unless it’s not that simple :S

Ok, I can't give you all this information yet
as I explained, my PC has some issues,
but I inserted the SD card and it is being read.
Yes, that's cool, it's good, but I'm not saved just yet
the only formatting I can do that is compatible with Windows is FAT 32 (which is convenient, right!!!! :) )
I'll try that FAT 32 tonight, for the other formats (in case FAT32 doesn't work)
I'll look into that on Sunday
As for the folders, I checked against the camera in question that I connected via USB, I think the folder names all the way to the memory root of the camera are similar to what was on the SD card, so I'll just copy and paste, well I'll test everything and anything lol
The camera was bought in the USA on site, I only kept the cables, battery, charger, etc. but no packaging.
More info in the next post

Well, the card has been formatted to FAT 32
my buddy also tells me that SD formats are FAT 32
normally, the formatting went well
result, card still not initialized
Second thing, I was able to access the camera's folders like before, linux wants to launch software
and vista replaces the folders with a pre-made thing that goes straight to the internal memory.
the name of the folder looked like DCIM>>fuji
something like fuji I don’t remember if that's it
Finally, you asked me for some info:
brand: Fujifilm
model: FinePix A 805
there you go

It's good
I was able to find different solutions, I will settle for the following one.
I formatted directly from the device itself.
Format for other devices, we can use the "ini" option to initialize.

Well, in my opinion, it can be a solution, and nothing ventured, nothing gained...
According to my knowledge, the cards must be in "FAT32" format to be read by the camera devices.
When you get the chance, try formatting it in different formats and see if that works.
If that doesn't solve the problem, let me know, and can you give me the brand and model of your device? Sometimes there are folders on the cards that are there to manage photos, videos...
And when you format the card, it deletes those, and as a result, the device can no longer find its way to save.
Keep me updated.
