Hello everyone,
I often visit this forum to find help, but today I am stuck...
I am on Windows Vista and here is my problem
I don't know how I managed it, but now all the .exe files on my computer are transformed into pdf (the Acrobat icon appears on the desktop) and every time I try to launch them, an Acrobat Reader page opens.
I tried to shift + right-click to try to open with, but it’s the same, Acrobat opens.
I don’t know what to do anymore... please help!!

Go to Start, then Settings, then Add/Delete Programs, and uninstall Acrobat Reader.

I had the same issue under Windows 7; uninstalling Adobe Reader solved the problem.
Thank you!

Good evening,
Rather take Foxit Reader.

I followed your advice and indeed I am once again able to open my applications; however, if I reinstall Acrobat Reader, the problem reappears right away.
Have you found the root of the problem and its solution, or alternatively, how to open PDF files without blocking all the other applications?
Thank you for sharing your findings with me.

Hello,
I had the same problem with Windows 7. But just before that, I had installed Revo Uninstaller.
So a system restore worked really well. -

start control panel maintenance and performance then system restoration
you can only go back 5 days
