Hi,

If by pushing F12 you go to the Windows Vista partition, and Vista is the default Operating System includes in the PC, you will find in the Programs folder, the folder Help & Tool and Tool for "re-installation" of the system. Clic on it, and a window will appear. Just follow the information and you will be able to burn a recovery CD for Windows Vista.

I don't know if it exists anything to create the recovery CD on Fedora because the setup (for the creation of the recovery CD on Windows) uses the files which are contain on the recovery Partition. I sure that it's possible to success it, searching a little...

But the best stays to create it on Windows !

Sorry for my bad English, we are on a french support forum

Have you tried to access on Vista with the safe mode?

OR

I've an another solution which is to find someone who have the same PC that you have, so a HP with Windows Vista in the same edition (basic, premium...). You will just have to copy the DVD and it will done !

OR

With Fedora, you are able to fix the boot ! In fact I think that the partition where is the HP_Recovery changed name. We should know about how is number the partition with sda1, sda2...
Normally (?) the partition HP_recovery is sda2, I think... Find a software which can change the number of the partition and it will works !
