L'instrument que vous décrivez est probablement un "dulzain" ou "dulsão", qui est un instrument à cordes frappées. Il a une caisse de résonance en bois et des cordes tendues, et est joué en tapant sur les cordes avec un bâton, comme vous l'avez mentionné.
