Problem with The Sims 3 World Adventures

Hello,

I’m presenting my problem. I bought The Sims 3: World Adventures on the day of its release in France. Since that day I’m unable to play it. Indeed the installation went fine, my game is up to date. But when I launch The Sims in question my screen stays frozen on the loading page, while my computer is working (where the game name appears with the loading bar underneath). Following this problem I called Electronic Arts. They told me to update my driver, which I had a technician do. But the problem persists. I know I’m using Vista and my computer is an Aspire M1641.

Help me!!!!! I don’t understand anything.

Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 8.0

    hi so i find it strange because i also use vista so maybe it would come:

    - either you installed your sims 3 wrongly
    -or you installed your sims 3 destination adventures wrongly

    but maybe a tip: you know when you have the homepage the one where you click to launch the game you have categories like for example welcome; downloads; loading; installed content and updates, click then on updates and do an update of the game after that it may work or you have to reinstall the sims 3 destination adventures

      No, the problem came from the update. I disabled them and now the game runs fine.

      We cannot uninstall the updates; the only way to do it is to uninstall all the Sims and reinstall them without applying the updates, but the game must work with the updates, so we must install them if we want the game to run perfectly.

      so I also had problems but I downloaded the patch from http://www.clubic.com/patch-jeux-video-17168-0-les-sims-3-destination-aventure.html after that it's the first article and the first patch normally so good luck

    Are you worried if you have The Sims 3: World Adventures inside the package that has the CD, there are sheets and it gives the instructions to install, start it, look in the little book and maybe it will tell you how to proceed.

    I have The Sims 3 normally. It worked fine before I installed Ambitions Destination. Now I can’t play The Sims anymore.

    Seriously I’m starting to die with this game. I don’t understand a thing. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled The Sims 3 and the add-on hundreds of times and nothing works. How do you disable these updates? I think I’m one of the few who’s struggling this hard with this thing!! If someone could help me that’d be cool! Thanks

      You need to disable your antivirus before updating

    Hello everyone,
    I just got The Sims 3: World Adventures, I had no problems during installation and I previously had no problems with The Sims 3.
    But since I installed the expansion disk the game freezes about 30 seconds every 2 minutes when I'm in live mode, whereas when I go on an adventure to another country I don't have this problem! It’s really very strange...
    Has anyone else had this problem?

    Please help me

    PS: I have Windows 7 and a Samsung R620 laptop

    I also have The Sims 3: Destination Adventure... but my sister told me to buy The Sims 3 first because The Sims 3 Destination Adventure is a bonus for The Sims 3, so you have to buy it first before playing. In fact, it's a mini-game (bonus). When you finish the game I hope I helped you a little bit. See you later.

    Is it normal that the game doesn’t work, The Sims 3 and The Sims 3: World Adventures, only run on Windows XP. Unless you have Vista SP1, then it might work, but if you have another Vista, forget it and uninstall it because it will never work.

    I didn't have the problem there...
    But I have one that really bothers me and that drives me crazy! Basically, I'm going to China or France or Egypt, I can't talk with foreign sims! So I use a cheat code to make him my best friend... I try to talk to him, it still doesn't work... After a few days there I go back home, and I invite my friend from there to come for a while to my house, (I repeat myself a lot sorry... --' ) and the next day at 9 o'clock I see him at my doorway, I try to talk to him to tell him to come in, exactly like before, I still can't talk to him... So he stays one day in front of my doorway and he leaves, as I tell him not to enter, but I do everything to make him come into my house, but no nothing works... If anyone has this problem please tell me, and also if anyone has an answer to my problem don't hesitate to reply please because it really annoys me a lot, otherwise the game is awesome! :D

      When installing The Sims 3 + The Sims 3 World Adventures, which CD do you put in the drive to launch the game?

      P.S.: I haven't bought The Sims 3 yet!

      In my opinion, that’s your game that’s bugging! Before that it did the same thing to me, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it started working again

    What is your installation code for The Sims 3: World Adventures? I have The Sims 3 but I don't have the code for The Sims 3: World Adventures. I can't install it, yet with my friend's code it worked, and now I want to install it on my computer, but my friend lost their sleeve/pouch.

    I launch the game everything is normal and after I create the character and all, then when I buy fences, items, stairs and walls there are big black leaves or black squares.
    I can’t see anything anymore because of that!!! ='(

      Hello,

      Here I have a problem with The Sims 3 Pets? adventures? I have a sim who went out to play with the ball and now he's stuck near a window, he can no longer move despite my attempts to have him eat, sleep, or do other things... I put down tiles to make movement easier with a patio door nearby but nothing works. If you can help, that would be cool. It would upset me if he dies while he's still young, thanks.

      I just bought The Sims 3: World Adventures, but as soon as I installed it and started the game launcher, the problem is that it doesn’t recognize the disc.
