Bootmgr is compressed sous XP

Bonjour,
j ai un problème au démarrage de mon ordi portable sous windows xp car quand il démarre un message apparait:
bootmgr is compressed
ctrl + alt + supr pour redémarrer l'ordinateur
J'ai un ordinateur portable, sans cd XP acheté en grande surface.
J'ai essayer par le BIOS mais rien à y faire! Dois-je absolument aller chez un technicien ou puis je le faire moi même (par le bios) ?
