MAC computer dropped on the ground.

Question

Hello.

My MAC computer fell on the floor (stone floor).
It turned off, and I turned it back on correctly.

However...
I'm having trouble with the "e" keys, and it's making a weird noise.

What do you think, is the computer alright?

Exactly, it's better to do a quick backup of the data ^^ A hard drive can range from 50 to very high, depending on what we want... If it's something other than the hard drive, we need to request a quote, because it's out of warranty

PS/ A disk doesn't like drops, but it equally hates moving when it's spinning

It's not really the hard drive that worries me, but the entire computer, and maybe starting with the screen.

Generally, a laptop that falls but has a functioning screen is not a bad sign.

The fact that you are having trouble typing an "e" can only be due to a keyboard key; check that it is not just stuck, as it's the vowel and the most used letter in the French language, it is generally the letter that wears out the fastest on the keyboard, and a shock could have amplified a developing issue.

Tell your technician to check the overall condition of your computer; it will take little time and resources, and don’t worry too much as this equipment is designed to withstand relatively strong shocks, except if the screen is the one that has received the impact.

Not a strong shock, I mean at hand height, not from the 5th floor.
