I'm reaching out to you because I've just bought the brand new Super Mario Bros on Wii.
Actually, I would like to have more lives because with 5, I can't manage.
If you have a solution...

There are several. In Table 2-3 at the end, we can do the same thing as in the good old Mario with the turtle.

Table 2-5 at the beginning:
When the cloud that shoots out hedgehogs appears, you need to eat a hedgehog with Yoshi and spit it out between 2 blocks so that it keeps moving. You stay away while the cloud continues to launch hedgehogs, and when they fall between the 2 blocks, they are killed by the upside-down hedgehog. Each time a hedgehog is killed this way, it gives you points and then lives up to a maximum of 99. You just have to be careful not to get killed by the falling hedgehogs.

This trick is much easier than the one with the turtle and is not available online. (now it is lol)

I'm super simple, which gives you as much life as you want. You need to go to World 3 and Level 2. So at the beginning, you have to grab a shell; be careful, there are only three. Then you keep it and release it where the star is, by the two rocket cannons. After that, jump on a block and wait for the shell to hit the rocket, and it gives you 100, 200, 400, 800, 1000, 2000, 5000, 8000, and 1-up, and then all the time 1-up.
