Hello,
I am looking for the codes for the Thomson ROC 4238 universal remote for a Samsung DVD recorder with hard drive.
The automatic search yielded no results.
Thank you for your responses.

You need to set the remote control to the desired mode (TV, DVD, or SAT), then press and hold SETUP for a few seconds (until the mode stays on), then press the power button once, and wait for the desired device to turn off. Be careful, because once the device is off, you must immediately press OK so that the remote control does not switch to the next code! There you go.
If you have an internet connection, get a Logitech Harmony 525 or 555 and you won't have these code problems anymore. Either your device is in the database, or you teach it the infrared codes directly, or both.
The principle is quite simple: you install the software on your Mac or PC, connect the remote via USB (cable and software included), enter the devices you have into the setup, and once everything is done, you create activities, e.g. watch a DVD, watch satellite TV, etc. Once finished, update the remote and check the proper functioning of your programming. The power of the IR signal from this remote can be increased or decreased.
