Hello,

I have a TOSHIBA laptop, and one day while working, I noticed that the screen shrank to the center.
What should I do to restore the original display?

Hello,

You need to go to "Control Panel", then go to "Computer" (laptop, if that's the case) and then under "Personalization" go to "Display Settings".
Change your Resolution to High. Click OK and there you go!
I had the same problem and I managed to find the issue.

The image shrinks on an LCD screen?!?
Impossible! It's a digital screen, pixel-by-pixel management... unless you have a lower resolution, but even then, the image would be 'dilated' to fill the entire screen, albeit with a lower definition.

Be sure to specify your problem and the settings of the graphics card (display resolution, native resolution of the screen, exact position of the image on the screen...)

  I just encountered the same problem: my screen shrank...
  So yes, I confirm: the image can shrink on an LCD screen!!!
  I had two black bars on the sides. I followed Coco's advice (I went to the control panel, changed the screen resolution, and everything went back to normal). Thanks to Coco.

  Black bars on the sides, but not at the top or bottom, I presume.
  In this case, the image is not 'shrunk', but simply in a different format than the screen. The video signal is in 4:3 format, and the screen is 16:9 (or 16:10). Result: black bars on the sides OR (depending on the screen setting) a distorted image laterally, stretched (circles appear oval)."

  You need to select a resolution with the same format (height/width ratio) as the screen. Ideally: the native resolution of the screen.
