PAYPAL PTE FEE DEDUCTION

Hello,
So, two and a half weeks ago, I bought an item from a private seller and I paid via PayPal (it's not my first time using PayPal).
Knowing that I didn't have enough in my bank account and having the right to €200 overdraft, I thought I would pay with my overdraft.
But instead of notifying me that it wasn't possible, PayPal paid on my behalf, and so my PayPal account ended up at -€19, and I needed to top it up to bring it back to 0, which means that in the end, I paid €19 twice!
So I wanted to know if I was going to get that €19 back or is it lost for me?
On my bank statement, it says "FRAIS PRLV IMP PAYPAL PTE," what does that actually mean?

Thank you for your help.

Hello,

if on your bank statement, on the line " FRAIS PRLV IMP PAYPAL PTE " it says 19 euros, you should thank your bank because they have taken "FRAIS PReLeVement IMPayé..."

Let’s thank the banks for this generosity they show after we’ve given them 70 billion euros...

P.S.: I've encountered this very often, sometimes with a bit of negotiation you can get them waived...

Best regards

Sorry about that.
So I paid 2 times €19 instead of just once, I'm frustrated...

It's not all!!
I paid 3 times the amount of €19!!!
I bought something via PayPal and they added €19 to the amount, but this is nonsense.
Once for the so-called "PAYPAL PTE WITHDRAWAL FEES" that I don’t understand.
Then "PAYPAL PTE WITHDRAWAL", I thought it was the refund.
And then in my payment €19 more, I can't believe this...

Normally, you were only supposed to pay a single amount of €19 (purchase amount),
this corresponds to the line "PRLV PAYPAL PTE" on your statement,
then unfortunately you have to pay your bank fees due to the rejection on your account,
this corresponds to the line "FRAIS PRLV IMP PAYPAL PTE" on your statement...

What is the third time? ("And then in my payment €19..." ??)

It's not my bank, it's PayPal, since I ended up with a debit balance of €19 on PayPal...
On my bank statement, I have two entries of €19,
the first time it says: "PAYPAL PTE WITHDRAWAL FEES"
the second time it says: "PAYPAL PTE WITHDRAWAL"

Thank you for the clarifications.
But I don’t understand how they can do that (make me pay the same amount because my account rejected the payment, that they cancel the payment or that they notify me that I can’t, I don’t know ...).
The third time is that actually I bought something and paid via PayPal, and the amount was €67.5 but they added €19, making a total of €86.5.

Ah, if I understood correctly, that last €19 was to bring my PayPal balance to 0 since it was overdrawn by €19.
What a huge rip-off, €40 down the drain, TOTAL NONSENSE...

At least it wasn't a 100€ moment, right?

And as the saying goes, a warned man is worth two... be careful with your next purchases!!
We already pay enough for things!!

Yes, that's clear.
In any case, thank you very much for clarifying that for me.
