How to make a CD blank again? Solved

Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to make a previously used CD blank again... if so, do you need software?

I confirm post 1: if it says CD + r or CD - r on the disk, it's messed up: you can add things to the CD until it's full but nothing can be erased.

If it says CD RW on the CD then you can erase the whole disk (you can't choose what to erase) and re-burn on it up to 1000 times, say the manufacturers.

Hello, for that you need a CD-RW and then you select it and format it; I’m not quite sure, sorry, but that already gives you an idea.

on a a CD+R or a CD-R
in multi-session, you can add to its capacity
but once full, it is closed, and you can only read it

No luck. Be careful though, some DVD players are picky with certain CDs. For example, the player may accept +R and +RW but refuse -R and -RW or vice versa, or certain combinations and not others... In short, check the CD player's specifications.

To find out what it accepts or not, see the player’s manual (or its description online) or download some small free software that provides information about the CD player. I believe you can even find that easily in "Help" in Windows and in the "System Information" section.
