I just received a call from the number 00227XXXXXXX on my mobile.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to answer the phone and I also can’t call it back.
Does anyone know which country this number is from?

Thank you for your responses, However, the numbers are 4 digits in Niger (after verification). And there are 7 more digits after the 00227, which puts me in ambiguity.  Thank you.

Attention, this is probably a scam.

Their new trick is to beep on phones thinking people will automatically call back without looking at the number. And of course, it's a premium rate number. I managed, once, to pick up the call, and I ended up with an answering machine. I let it ring for 5 minutes since they were the ones calling...

You had the right reaction by wondering where it was coming from. But if you don't have any friends there, don't even try to call back...

As for the numbers, I have no idea... It was just for information...
