Hello,
I was playing Pokémon Blue version on Game Boy Color, everything was going well until the day my save file got corrupted. There's no longer the "continue" option on the menu screen.. all my progress is gone and I don't understand why the save file got corrupted. If anyone knows how to restore the save or why this happened, I would appreciate your help as I would like to conquer the Pokémon world again.

Don't worry, I know, I know!!!!!!
It's your backup battery that is dead, so sorry, but your amazing version is trash.........I'M JUST KIDDING! Actually, you need to unscrew the screw behind the cartridge (I really worked to get there, but use sharp scissors OR find a video game store that has the screwdriver; you can also order it online, I think). Then you will find the CR 2025 battery that you can buy anywhere. You'll see the old battery is soldered; you can desolder it with a soldering iron or honestly, maybe with a knife, but it's hard. Finally, put the new battery in (the - on top), secure it to the electrodes with tape or something; they just need to touch, close your cartridge, and you're good to go for years!

Hi,
listen, Antho, a backup doesn't get destroyed on its own...
and there's no way to recover it once a new game is started...
