Hello,
I’m creating this topic to talk about everything that’s good and everything that’s bad in the movie with the bespectacled wizard: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (for those who have watched it); original title: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Honestly, I haven’t seen the movie, so I’m like everyone else, I’m going to see everything you’ve said!!
PS: I hope I didn’t create this topic for nothing, it’s for Harry Potter FANS like me!!

<face>Hi, personally, I read the book and I was disappointed. I don't know if you've read it, but the movie is also very romantic now.</face>

not yet, I always watch the movie before reading so I don't say, "OH WOW but there's a scene that's missing and it's not like in the book," and then when I watch the movie and then read the book, I imagine the scenes from the movie while reading!!

I share the same opinion as Qqzert, disappointing for someone who read the book after I was with friends for whom that was not the case!!! So logically it should please you.

    Hey!

Personally, I found it to be the best of the 6 films!
And my whole family loved it....
    See you!

As a big fan of the Harry Potter books, I am very disappointed with the film. If you haven't read the books, I believe the film will please you nevertheless.
For my part, I found that the film is not deep enough, the essentials are not even there. We waste too much time blathering about the little love stories when it is supposed to be the prelude to a future war against the forces of evil! Where are the investigations into the Half-Blood Prince? Where is the final burial of one of the main characters? Let's call this "Harry Potter's romances," as it would better fit this long little film that leaves us wanting more.
However, there are still some fantastic moments, especially the Quidditch match that we really missed in the previous films :)

Personally, I found this movie disastrous ^^'
Too much talking and not enough action!
Well, I admit that I'm not a huge fan of HP, but I expected MUCH better!
A few funny scenes and a bit of action, I admit, but definitely not enough.
I almost fell asleep... And for me, it's the worst Harry Potter.
And in the end, I think: "Come on, the final battle!!!" ... ? ...... Well no, nothing, just talk.
That's my opinion, I respect the fans of this movie, but I only recommend going to see it if you really love it, and not just for fun ;)

As a Harry Potter fan, I agree with your critiques, I'm really disappointed... I thought it would be one of the best in the series, but no, I was mistaken, I ended up with the most disappointing one! It's sad...

I saw it an hour ago... Much darker than the previous episodes and much more serious. But still just as good. The universe is respected and we get the same ingredients that made the success of the other films, but in smaller doses. I was left wanting more despite the length of the movie... Can't wait for Part 7 in 2 parts.

    Good evening,
I’ve read all the HPs and the latest one, HP6, that just came out in theaters, and I think it’s the best of the HP (films).

What? How could you enjoy that horror? With a ridiculous story, a title that has barely anything to do with the movie, no action, new actors... Just humor that is good! Otherwise, I find it disappointing!!

I watched the previous 5 glued to the screen from start to finish, but this one is much less captivating. There's less action.

    Hi,
As a Harry Potter fan, I found a few flaws in the movie.
The first is that the film is a bit too focused on the characters and not on the landscapes...
The second is that at the end I was disappointed that they didn't really show the battle where Bill gets bitten and all that.
Otherwise, I loved it because Harry is more relaxed, especially when he goes to see Hagrid about the death of Aragog (sorry if there's a mistake). I really enjoyed the movie and the music too.
    There you go, hugs!!!!!
P.S. Thanks for starting this discussion ^^

When I see "this movie will only please fans," I just want to laugh!! I'm not a big Harry Potter fan, but I still loved the books, and I find this movie disappointing... As mentioned earlier, it lacks the plot around the Half-Blood Prince, the funeral (by the way, no spoilers for those who haven't read it, no need to ask who it is ^^), and what happens right after the funeral... well, a lot of important stuff was skipped for the sake of romance... But also so the movie wouldn't be too long

Personally, I think making 2 movies for the 7th is just for the money... From a storyline perspective, the 6th or 5th deserved to be in 2 parts... But from a monetary perspective, the 7th is more interesting, as more people are of the age to see it, more people are of the age to be interested in it, hence more fans, therefore more money...

Seriously, I think you're being harsh on the film; there aren't just negative points in what you think. But then again, some people like it and some don't. As for the seventh one, I don't think it's for the money because I can totally see you making the film with all the sets; it's just that they need more time. Otherwise, if they made the film in just one part, we would never get the sequel in 2010.
    There you go!

Thank you guys for all these responses, it helps me and I hope it helps you too, those who read this discussion!!
    You're welcome margot.robin@hotmail.fr, it's a real pleasure!!
For the 7, I think it's for both (the fic is too long and everything and of course for the suspense)
