[psp]orange light not turning on Solved

Question

Hello, here is my problem: when I try to charge my PSP, the orange light does not turn on. I removed the battery and put it back in, but nothing happens, so I was wondering if you could help me find a solution.

Well, listen carefully, this happened to me and what follows is not a joke, you need to remove the battery and smell it;
if it has a strong smell (the kind that gets into your nose), it means your battery is dead (which happened to me) but if it smells normal, just plastic, with no strange odor, your battery is not dead.

IF your PSP is working normally, it means your charger is faulty. To be sure, connect your console via USB and see if it charges (after setting it in the settings to allow charging via USB) :)

I felt my battery, but I don't smell anything that stands out, so it might not be my battery; it could be my charger.

Hey, do you have a cable to connect it to your computer? Because you could try charging it with that.

maybe so, but I didn't accept to charge it with the USB cable connected to the computer.

I received my charger today, I plugged it into my PSP and the orange light is on, so the problem was indeed with my charger.  Thank you for your help.

When you put the charger in the PSP, turn it:  You put the charger in and right after, you turn it.

It doesn't work because the contacts of your battery are broken. To find them, you need to open your battery case and you'll see a sort of chip with two contacts attached to it. If one breaks, you can only play by charging your PSP, and if both break, your battery won't work anymore. P.S.: It's better to change the battery.

It did the same thing for me, and two solutions are possible for the orange light to no longer turn on.
First solution: your battery is dead; it needs to be changed.
Second solution: you bought a non-official one.
