how to install ORDISSIMO?

Hello,

How to install the Ordissimo operating system on a computer running Windows.
I know it's based on Linux but I'm not familiar with it.

Seriously,
1 it's based on a GNU/GPG distribution so as mentioned earlier I don't see why we couldn't modify it.
2 - You're selling a computer + an OS and you're not providing a way to reinstall that OS? Are you kidding me?

Avoid these traps galore, it's better to buy a laptop with Windows or Linux even if you have to pay someone to teach you how to use it. It's complete nonsense.

Hello,

Apparently, Ordissimo is based on the Debian GNU/Linux distribution.
Ordissimo is a distribution specially designed for elderly people with no prior knowledge of computers (for use).

I think from there, you must have downloaded an .iso image file, that is to say, the image of the content of a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM.
You need to burn this image onto a DVD or CD according to the instructions provided on the website.

Normally, this CD (or DVD) will be bootable, so if your machine is set to boot from the CD drive, you put the disc in and restart.
If it is not configured to boot from the CD drive, you need to make a small change in the BIOS that takes a maximum of 3 seconds for an expert and may take 3 minutes for a beginner. (You need to look in the BIOS for the section related to the boot device priority. (Floppy, hard drives, USB, PXE via network, or CD-ROM)
You need to place CD-ROM (or DVD-ROM) first.

Then, you save the changes when exiting, put the disc in the drive, and away you go...

So, I have installed Debian, Ubuntu, and even Knoppix, but I've never done this one.
There might be some modifications.
Normally when you boot from it, you should have several options on what you want to do.

But if there are hints on their website or documentation, you should read it first, otherwise you'll often get the following response to your questions: "RTFM", it's not mean but it basically means you should always read that damn manual when there is one.

Maybe a contributor on the site has already experienced this installation and can respond to you better.

Hello again,
I just looked at the links you provided and I don't see any ISO file.
In fact, I know that the company distributing Ordissimo is more service-oriented.
To ensure that no one takes away their livelihood, they may not distribute an ISO image of their system.
It would be best if you contact them directly on this page...

I am an Ordissimo reseller and although the system is based on Linux, it is not possible to copy or clone the system like that. The system is pre-configured and tailored for each machine in the range, making it non-clonable.

What is the interest for Ordissimo and for us (resellers) to have a system that anyone can pirate without compensating its creators (young and French)? Moreover, what would you say if I had you work for months and didn’t pay you? !!

If you are interested in the product for someone who has never used a PC, call 3920 "ordissimo".

FORGET ORDISSIMO! Take xPUD, it's similar and free, plus it is extremely lightweight, which is practical for low configurations! http://www.xpud.org/

I would say that there is a simple solution, Linux Mint. It's simple enough even for a beginner.
