EMule is not connecting to any server

Hello,
My problem is that eMule: version 0.49b (the same issue occurs with version 0.49c, which I've already tried) never connects to servers, whether KAD or eDonkey. In search mode, it indicates that I am not connected to any server. I have opened the ports (exactly the same) on my firewall, my router (ISP: Livebox Inventel) and of course in my preferences in eMule. The arrows remain red. I have Windows Vista Home. How can I connect to servers and where can I find reliable servers? On my old computer, I didn't have to add any.
What's wrong? 
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.10

    eMule must be downloaded from a good source as well.

      Thank you for your information,
      Apparently my messages were not posted. I don't know why (restricted messages or something like that)
      I did what was indicated in the tutorials. I still have the green arrows, otherwise on the globe there is only one green one at the bottom, the other remains red, why?
