Orange light on Medion Akoya E1210

Hello,

I just bought a Medion Akoya E1210 ultraportable and I completely discharged and recharged the battery 2-3 times at the beginning as recommended in the manual.
But I don't understand because when I plug the laptop into the mains, the battery finishes charging if it is not full, and then the battery indicator keeps flashing orange constantly. If I unplug the power cord, the battery works normally but the indicator stays solid orange.
Does anyone know what these indicator states mean? It's not listed in the manual.

My goal would be to always plug the laptop into the mains while leaving the battery inside. That way, in case of a power outage, it switches to battery.
But should I avoid using a laptop on mains power with the battery inside?

Thank you for your answers.

Hello, I own this microphone, and I have never noticed this problem. I use it almost constantly on mains power, and I see that it charges if not used for a few days (the green light stays on and turns off when the battery is full). It seems to me that the light flashes if the battery is almost drained, before the PC shuts down (if it is not connected to mains power, which is quite exceptional).
Since your device is new, you should use the warranty. You can also call Medion customer service for more details.
So, to summarize, mine is always connected to mains power while in use and it's doing well :).

      Thank you for your response.
I may indeed look into contacting Medion customer service.
The battery seems to be in good condition; I am currently testing it while unplugged. The indicator has been a steady orange for a while now, from 100% charge to 57% currently. And I wonder why it flashes orange when it's charged and plugged in.
It would bother me if it were a defect. I've had it for 4 days, ordered from the Orange website, which took 2 weeks to send it to me...

Indeed, the battery is probably good; I would lean more towards a potential issue with the battery charging regulation. So don't hesitate to use the warranty even if it seems a bit cumbersome.
    Good luck for the future.
