Used Ink Tank Almost Full CANON

Hello,
I have a CANON PIXMA 1600 printer that has been working perfectly for me.
Since yesterday, when I try to print, an error message appears: "The waste ink tank is almost full".
I then have to press the "Resume" button to be able to print, and this happens with every copy. How can we solve this problem?
For example, emptying this waste ink tank?
Thank you for your help.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.10

    Hello.
    Thank you for the advice.
I will try your "trick" but I believe my issue is elsewhere...
I have already received this error message with other CANON printers years ago.
    Thank you for your help.

Hello and thank you for your response.
    I don't think that's the explanation...
The print head is an integral part of the cartridge.
It is therefore changed with each cartridge 40 (black) or 41 (color).
It's a "used ink reservoir" that would be "almost full"...
I don't think I've done more than 5 or 6 nozzle cleanings since I've had this machine.
I don't see how this reservoir could have filled up or how to empty it?
    Thanks anyway.

    Hello,

I have the same problem with one of my clients; it’s a series of pads located under the carriage path.

Once a certain number of prints is reached, the printer displays this message. Pressing one of the buttons on the printer starts the printing process until it is completely stopped by a message saying "Tank Full, Contact Canon Support."

There is a way to reset the counter using the buttons, which varies for each Canon printer model.

      Hello,

I have this issue with my almost full ink cartridge on my Pixma MP150. Could you tell me what button combination to perform?

      Thank you for your help.

Hello, I had the same issue as you with my CANON MP 150. I consulted a computer technician, and he told me that I needed to change the print head, which was faulty. When I checked the price, it was more expensive than a printer, so I switched printers, and it cost me 60 euros instead of a 100 euros repair.

    Hi,

I believe it's the ink cartridges that are to blame. I have a Pixima iP4200. I've noticed that some original cartridges are causing issues: refusal to work (cartridge empty), even though it's half full. I change it and everything goes back to normal without any problem. Cartridge empty, even though there's still a bit of ink left. I put it back and everything starts again.

    See you soon
