Generally, this error has the error number 5b00, the ink absorber is located under the carriage containing the ink cartridges when it is at rest, also see https://www.canon.fr/support/consumer_products/content/faq/?itemid=tcm%3A79-915723
It is also possible for some printers to perform a reset of the used ink counter via software, you just need to search online to see if it is possible to do so with your printer.
