Recover Word 2003 AutoText Entries

Hello,
I changed my laptop and bought the Microsoft Office Home and Student Pack.
Since I work a lot on Word, I previously had Word 2003 and Windows Home, and I had created a very large number of auto texts. Today, I would like to know if it is possible to recover these auto texts via the normal.dot from Word 2003 and copy it into Word 2007 under Vista.
I have already copied the normal.dot file that I found (from the old computer), but I don't know how to integrate it. If someone could help me, it would save me a considerable amount of time... Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 8

Hello m@rina, first of all, thank you for your response. I tried to do what you suggested, but in vain.
Indeed, when I try to find my new normal.dotm file to save it, I get an error message saying: C\Users\Delphine\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\Normal.dotm is not a valid Office add-in.
    There you go! I'm lost...

OK, I saw your reply... CCM is having issues today.

I didn't tell you to save your file as normal.dotm... Reread the article.

Sorry, not everyone is an expert; otherwise, there wouldn't be a forum. Human error is common.
Thanks anyway, but I just resolved the issue with a Microsoft Technician.
Actually, I had hidden files, so I wasn't saving my new file in the right place.
I learned that there are actually two ways to create auto-insertions: either by clicking on the Auto Insertions icon that needs to be added, or by going to Quickpart...
However, he couldn't tell me where the Auto Insertion function was located in Word 2007.
The main thing is that it works and I was able to find the "thousands" of auto-insertions I had created.

Hello M@rina, I’m very interested in this explanation too, but unfortunately, the link you provided doesn’t lead me to an explanation and I don’t know how to find it. I’m on the homepage of faqword but I can’t find the specific topic.

      Hello,

Indeed, my domain name got hacked in the meantime...
Just replace fr with com and it's all good.

Good evening m@rina, I carefully read your explanations about using Quick Parts. However, there are certain insertions that I cannot create or rather display in a document. For example, I use: approximately. Previously, I had entered this word in AutoText, with the abbreviation da.
Although I retrieved my old normal.dot file, and I was able to find some insertions, this one no longer appears. No matter, I decided to create it, following your instructions step by step. However, when I type the given abbreviation and hit F3, the following message appears: the specified text is not a valid building block name. Yet, when I open QUICKPART, I see that this word and its abbreviation appear... It's a mystery!

    Good evening Delphes31

    It’s very curious, indeed...
You’ve stumped me, as I don’t see any reason that would prevent this building block.

Did you save it in QuickParts or elsewhere? Are you having issues with other quickparts or just this one? Have you tried deleting it and recreating it?

Otherwise, if it’s a word you use frequently, why not set it up for automatic correction? Obviously, in that case, the abbreviation da might not be ideal...

I'm working right now, and I wanted to create the centimeter insertion (with the abbreviation cm), and I'm having the same issue.
I've tried everything, creating it in auto text, making it in Quick Parts, deleting, redoing...
It's frustrating... especially since I work all day on Word, which is my main tool, and I'm trying to save as much time as possible! Nonetheless, I'm going to try auto-correct, as you suggested. Thank you.
