Change the menu language in GTA IV (4)

Question

Hello,
I just installed GTA 4 in the Russian version.
Unfortunately, I don't speak a word of that language. :-S
Could someone kindly tell me where the "language" option is located in the menus?
(thanks to screenshots, for example)

Hello, I had the same problem as you and I found the solution in 2 seconds hehe :D

Go to your Grand Theft Auto 4\common\text\ folder

Once in this folder, rename russian.GXT to french.GXT and vice versa, GTA4 will launch the game with the new russian.GXT (which was previously french.GXT) and you will have the game in French =)

Just out of curiosity, why did you install the game in Russian? xD
Otherwise, by translation (I don’t speak Russian), language is said:
Язык
Try to look for that word in the menus ;)

Are you cracking it?? Because if you buy it in France, you get it in French, and at worst, you can reinstall it since you are "supposed" to have the CD.

We don't care if he cracks it or not, he's asking a question like any other. I have the same problem as him; I installed the game in the wrong language and I was wondering if there was a patch or if it was directly in the game's menus, so thanks for helping me. I'm looking for French, of course ;)

And I'm afraid that reinstalling it will remove all my saves, skins...
