Ctrl T not working Photoshop

Hello,

I have Photoshop CS1 and I've run into a little problem. I'm working on a project and I can’t use control T. I then tried editing, but Free Transform is grayed out and not selectable. I am indeed on the correct layer.

The problem isn't with the software but with the document since I was able to execute this command on another file and it worked perfectly fine.

However, on my document, I can't perform this manipulation at all. I'm seriously stuck on this file's progress.

Thank you to anyone who has a little idea to help me, preventing me from losing this document and starting over.

The strangest thing is that when I take an element from this file and place it on a blank or external document, I can use ctrl T.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

    Hello,

Silly question: did you make a selection beforehand?

I had the same problem! Check if your image is not saved in Bitmap! If that's the case, change it to grayscale! I think it's a problem due to the scanning!
