Hello,
Here is my problem: I have a PC with an ASUS P5QL motherboard. On the front of the PC, I have a FIREWIRE connector, but it is not connected to my motherboard. At the end, it is a 1394 FEMALE connector. The motherboard manual states that this type of connector should not be connected to the USB ports on the motherboard. My question is where should I connect it without making a mistake.
If anyone can help me, thank you in advance.

The mentioned motherboard unfortunately does not have IEEE 1394 connectivity, or 'Firewire'.
But it's a minor issue considering that relatively few devices alone saturate a 'USB 2' line (60MB/s), and only a cascade setup of two or three hard drives justifies the use of Firewire.

Because the manuals don't tell everything... but this, yes!
