HPw2216v Screen Sleep Issue

Hello,

I bought an HP Pavilion a few months ago. HP w2216v screen. Since then, I've been trying in vain to solve a problem with the screen going to sleep.

After a certain period of inactivity on the PC, the screen goes to sleep. Normal. The power button then turns orange. Also normal.
But as soon as I want to reconnect, it's impossible; the screen stays asleep and displays "monitor going to sleep." I then have to turn off the CPU and restart the PC.

If you have any information to help me resolve my issue...

Thank you!
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.8

    Hello
try to see by right-clicking on your desktop, then click on properties, the display properties page will open, then go to screensaver, power management, and hibernate, set it to never, set everything to never by the way if you don't want any sleep mode...
let me know after that if it still does the same thing.

      Hello,
I have the same problem. When I turn on the computer, a message tells me that the VGA cable is active and then the monitor goes into sleep mode. I've tried pressing the buttons on the screen, but nothing works. It's the same when I move the mouse or click on the keys or the mouse. I don't actually have access to the software.
When I connect the screen to my laptop, it works fine.
How can I disable this automatic sleep mode?
