All the sites are mistaken when they say that Goinfrex can be found on the honey tree in the Windmills. So I'm going to explain to you the REAL way to get the most difficult Pokémon to find, much more than Barpau that takes only 2 or 3 hours at most to bite the hook. Personally, I found mine yesterday on the honey tree on Route 221, after about 1 month of relentless searching. And believe me, it was generous to show up so quickly, without wanting to scare you. When I saw it appear, I screamed incredibly loudly and jumped all around. That’s why, when you see it, you will be extremely happy and proud to finally have it.
First of all, know that Goinfrex has an appearance rate of 1.1% on the 4 honey trees (and not just on the honey tree in the Windmills) among the 21 in the Sinnoh region, which is very, very low. That’s why you will need to arm yourself with patience because when I say that it is much rarer than Barpau, I’m not joking. Barpau takes a few hours to find. Goinfrex takes several weeks, even several months to hope to see it appear on the screen of your DS.
As you probably know, there are a total of 4 levels of shaking in honey trees. Either:
_ It doesn't shake. In this case, either the tree won't give any Pokémon, or it will most often contain a very common Pokémon from honey trees like Chenipotte. A honey tree that doesn't shake can contain Goinfrex, but with an appearance rate of 0.21%, it's virtually nothing.
_ It shakes a little. In this case, either the tree will give a very common Pokémon, or it will contain a somewhat rare Pokémon from honey trees like Ceribou. A honey tree that shakes a little can contain a Goinfrex if it is one of the 4 trees with Goinfrex with an appearance rate of 1.1% as I mentioned earlier. If a honey tree shakes a little but is not one of the 4 trees with Goinfrex, the appearance rate of Goinfrex is 0%, which means none.
_ It shakes a lot. In this case, it's the same as a honey tree that shakes a little, except it has a higher chance of giving a somewhat rare Pokémon from honey trees than a very common one.
_ It shakes a lot. You may not have known this level of shaking in honey trees before. As you thought, it is the highest level of shaking in honey trees. It is also the rarest level of shaking in honey trees. I mentioned earlier that a tree with Goinfrex that shakes a little or a lot has a 1.1% chance of giving you Goinfrex. Well, on a tree with Goinfrex that shakes a lot, the appearance rate of Goinfrex is not 1.1% but much higher! As we don't currently know this percentage, I wouldn't want to mislead you, but I would estimate that a tree with Goinfrex that shakes a lot has an appearance rate that should be around 30% of giving Goinfrex, which is about the same as a Chenipotte on a honey tree that doesn't shake! Indeed, this is not at all the same percentage. As you suspected, the honey tree where I found my Goinfrex was shaking a lot.
But you are probably wondering what a honey tree that shakes a lot looks like. Well, as you may have noticed, a honey tree that shakes a little or a lot wiggles a bit in all directions, especially a honey tree that shakes a lot. Well, a honey tree that shakes a lot doesn't wiggle in all directions but seems to vibrate in place, quite strongly. I don’t think you will confuse it with another honey tree.
So, all this to tell you that sites often say nonsense, even if many say the same thing. I wish you good luck with Goinfrex; I hope you find it quickly.
Did you find it? Congratulations, you just captured the hardest Pokémon to find, and that's no small feat.

Thank you very much, thanks to that I'll have one today. By the way, Goinfrex can only be found in the honey trees in Diamond and Pearl, but not in Platinum.

Too easy, a meadow near the wind turbine, a field of flowers near Unionpolis, and one on Route 211, I believe.
