Press the cancel/resume button (the button with a round icon with a triangle inside, often red) for long enough and everything will return to normal. If you go to the printer's status information on your PC, you will also find this information: file, print, properties, maintenance.

I had the same problem, resolved after changing the cartridges, even the black one that wasn't completely empty. The scanner wasn't working anymore either. It seems that on this model (to be verified) both cartridges need to be changed or refilled at the same time.
