Mixing different capacity RAM

Hello,
can we install RAM of different capacities because I don't know much about it
my motherboard has 4 RAM slots
and my RAM sticks are of the same brand
and the same frequency pc3200
I want to install 3 RAM sticks of 512MB
and 1 RAM stick of 256MB

    Hello,

    yes, you can use RAM of different capacities, as long as they have the same frequency.
