mixing different capacity RAM Solved

Question

Hello,
can we install RAM of different capacities because I don't know much about it
my motherboard has 4 RAM slots
and my RAM sticks are of the same brand
and the same frequency pc3200
I want to install 3 RAM sticks of 512MB
and 1 RAM stick of 256MB

Hello,  yes, you can use RAM of different capacities, as long as they have the same frequency.  Dyllan -- I sent an angel to protect you, but it came back to tell me it couldn't watch over another.

Yes, in theory it should work as long as the sticks have the same "timings" and frequency, the only thing is that there won't be DUAL CHANNEL but that's not a big deal.
