First of all, I don't think this forum is meant for this kind of request because I don't think you bought the game.
But let's say it's your old cousin from Germany who lent you the game and he lives in the great cold of... Russia.
To completely set the game to French, it's really simple.
Just press Win+R
Type regedit
Look for Hkey current users / Software / Monolith productions / FEAR
And there you modify the language key and type fr
And there you go
Enjoy the game, even though this game is really too short and too easy for my taste! Personally, I find the first installment much better! Ask your cousin in Russia to lend it to you... lol

Yeah, I completely agree with you NikoHK on the distant cousin Germain side... And I was also disappointed by the game's short lifespan... Too short ^^ And the game's ease ^^ Otherwise, like you, I preferred the first installment Fear 1 and Perseus Mandate (less gory but a bit longer). Personally, I found Perseus Mandate more "scary" than 1 and 2, but well... Still a bit disappointed with Project Origin :'(

Contact me via my email address and I will send you the patch (the registry key + the blood patch, that is, layerL.Arch01). For installation, place the blood patch in the Fear 2 folder (click OK to overwrite the existing one if necessary), and for the registry key, install it temporarily on the desktop and double-click on it (from the desktop). And there you go, your game is fully in French! As for the folders you say you don't have, I don't think they are needed for the translation. In any case, it doesn't hurt to try. Enjoy the game!
FEAR Combat has become freeware for a while now given its success, so if any FEAR fans pass by, be careful as there are several sites offering to send a serial number after registration and those famous serials never arrive... so

Digging this up, but this game is still fun to play right now...
I had the CD version of FEAR 2 for a long time, in French, and I got the digital version to have Reborn, and this one is in English with no option to change the language... The trick above worked, it's very strange that both text AND audio languages are installed but having to go through a registry modification to activate them...
