What is a host?

Hello,
hi everyone, I would like to know what a HOST is, and if it has anything to do with an IP
thanks in advance :).

    In online games, a host is the player who hosts the game, so other players must connect to their local IP address (not the internet one).

      So it’s a form of cookies, the host, that can be hijacked from its use, which hackers do on databases.

    Hi. For USB, there are two "parts": An "active" element (host) that supplies power to a "passive" element (USB key for example).
