Pioneer BDP-51FD Blu-ray Problem

Hello,
I have a problem with my Pioneer BDP 51 FD Blu-ray player.
After selecting the HDMI audio output, I am unable to configure the audio to DTS or DD5.1. The only valid mode is downmix, so my Onkyo TX SR 875 amplifier only receives a stereo input signal. What should I do?
Thank you in advance. ROCH
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

if it's not on bearstream, it's on pcm

I can't get the bitstream; there is only auto or PCM that can be selected, and as soon as I'm on auto or PCM, I only have 2 outputs in HDMI.

And did you give your amp a source? You need to set it up.

I think the amplifier is well configured, the problem comes from the source, because through HDMI, only the downmix can be selected, the other modes are grayed out and cannot be selected.

    Good evening,

Yes, that's certain, it's not my amplifier either; it's the source that is malfunctioning. When connecting the player via HDMI, we have no choice; everything is greyed out except for downmix...
This afternoon, I just tried connecting it via analog or with an optical cable, and all the other options appear!!!!!!!
So either it's a software issue with the player or the cable (I've tried 3 high-quality HDMI cables....)

Does anyone have any ideas to prevent me from throwing this player out the window????

    Thanks in advance.

      Good evening everyone,

I finally found the solution to our problem, the BD almost ended up like my son's soccer ball, but thanks to a stubborn friend like me, we finally found the right sound.
It doesn’t come from the player, it comes from the amplifier; you need to go into the HDMI Setup menu and set the first HDMI Audio to Off instead of On, and that's it!!!!

      Good luck to you all

      Hello
I downloaded and burned the firmware 1.37 from the Pioneer site for my 51FD Blu-ray player, but when I put the CDR or CDRW in the player, I can read DISC DATA and not DISC DWLD as it should be written... despite numerous attempts
Could you please help me? Thank you

      Hello.

I read your issue regarding your Blu-ray player for the update, and it turns out I have the same problem with another model from the brand. Have you found a solution since then?

      Thanks.
