Hello,

I’m asking for your help because I have devices of different generations and I’m not sure how to connect them to get the most out of them. I’ve done some research but didn’t find anything. Here’s what I have: a Pioneer VSA-E03 receiver, a Panasonic Blu-ray player DMP-BD60. I connected the Blu-ray via optical since it doesn’t have 5.1 outputs and the receiver doesn’t have HDMI.

My problem is that according to the manual, I can see how to connect to obtain Dolby, but not the hookup for 5.1.

Thank you for your help

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 3.5.6

    Hello,

the Dolby is 5.1, configure the DVD and the receiver on the optical input source.

Is that it?! So once I’ve plugged it in as shown in the diagram for the Dolby, it’s good. Then it’s just a setting to adjust if I understood correctly?

exactly HDMI on an amp is just a simple way to transfer the sources to the TV player recorder exactly
