Unintelligible problem LG rc 278

Hello,
I have a problem with my LG RC278 DVD/VHS player/recorder: my issue is with DVD burning: for example I record on a new SONY DVD-RW; the recordings go through fine but when I press STOP to stop it, if the recording lasts around 30 minutes to 1 hour it works but if it lasts 1h30, for example the message "recording in progress please wait" gets stuck on the screen and won't disappear; I am forced to cut the power. when I turn it back on; either nothing is on the disc; or the player does not recognize it. I don't understand, can someone help me? thank you

    can Windows have an error reaction?

      yeah but I’m not talking about a computer; it’s a combined DVD player/VCR home theater recorder.

    I have the same problem.

    For more detail, regarding this LG RC 278 DVD player / video cassette recorder,
    when I stop the recording manually (Stop button), it seems to take an infinite amount of time to finish the recording and displays in the middle of the TV the annoying "Recording in progress, please wait ..."

    On the other hand, when I unplug the power cable, a part of the video, or even the entire thing, is sometimes recognized ...
