Automatic Downloads?

Hello,

I use Google Chrome and I think it's really good, which could rival Firefox!
But I have a little problem, which is that every time I click on a link to download a file, I don’t get the option to open or save it; it automatically saves on my PC, either to the location I chose or that I select...
I was wondering if you have the same issue, and what needs to be done to change it? If that's possible!!

Thanks in advance, guys!! :)
Configuration: Windows XP Google chrome 1.0.154.48

To do this, go to settings, then at the bottom of the page, click on advanced settings, go to the Downloads section and check the box Always ask where to save files. There you go, good luck!

Yeah, actually that's not what I'm asking!
Me, I actually don't want it to automatically save on my PC's memory, but I want the possibility to open it (by saving it in temp)!
I think it's actually not possible...
    Thanks anyway!

    Hello,
I also use Google Chrome and I am also satisfied with it.
I find it faster than Firefox, which I used before.
I have the exact same problem as you.
I still haven't found the solution...
Thanks to anyone who can help us!

Yeah, there are a lot of people who have the same question, but I don't think we can do it...
Chrome is a young browser, let's keep hope!! :)

      2016. Still no solution?!!!!
I wonder if Chrome is really better than Firefox. I'm having issues with the constant refresh confirmation requests as well.
