Enlarge a scanned photo

Hello, I want to upload photos to my computer, but when I scan them, they come out in small format and you can see the white of the printer. How can I get them in normal format? Thanks everyone for your responses.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.1

    it's not easy to explain when you want to scan your photo you need to digitize it first you should have a frame with your photo in one corner then you create the dotted lines around your photo then you digitize it later with your photo software you can set it to the dimensions you want knowing that you lose quality when enlarging photos I hope you'll manage to do it keep us updated on your work
