Create a Party Playlist Closed

Question

Hello,

I have to DJ for my parents' birthday. I've decided to prepare everything in advance. But I have a little problem. How can I program a playlist so that the songs flow without any gaps between them?

I downloaded a mixing console. It’s not an issue to mix if I stay behind my computer all evening. How can I do the same thing in advance so that I can enjoy the party?

I hope I was clear enough, and thank you for your help.

There's a much simpler way,
Windows Media Player does it!

(right-click -> Enhancements -> Fade transition and automatic volume adjustment).
Then enable the fade transition and set 10 seconds of overlap. (hoping that in your playlist, no song starts or ends with a 10s silence...)

iTunes allows you to create a continuous playlist of songs if you ask it to.

It also includes the Genius feature (version 8.02) which allows you, if you have a lot of songs, to automatically choose a song that matches the beat of the previous one (I believe it requires an internet connection).

Aside from iTunes, I think all relatively recent music playback software can do what you want.

I don't think there's a mixing console unless you're broadcasting online with Nicecast, but it's only available on Mac OS X.

The best option is to have a real mixing console and 2 PCs.

In any case, you have the software Live that allows you to stream music live (which I think is suitable for what you want to do).

And in a much more complete and consequently more complex way, there's the software Reason.

Look for a demo of Live; that should be enough.

Use the software "Virtual DJ," it's the best there is, and it costs nothing anymore, 30€ at most at Fnac.

Download the software Virtual DJ, it's paid but I decided to celebrate my birthday without hiring a DJ/Sound system. This software is great and after that you need to download music of all genres.
