Hello. I would like to know how to combine text and a formula in a single cell in Excel 2007?

Let me explain:

In a cell, I would like the text "Total:" and then the formula "=SUM(G8:G29)".

with your cell containing the formula selected

custom-number-format
in type you enter:
"total: "# ##0.00 €

you can thus write other formulas based on this cell
