My microphone picks up the sounds from my PC.

Solved
Hello,
I've had a problem for quite some time; when I'm on Teamspeak (or Skype, it doesn't matter) and I talk, if I have music or sound effects in the background, like when I'm playing a game for example, my friends can hear it.
How can I fix this problem? It must come from the microphone configuration; there must be a setting that makes my microphone also pick up the sounds from the PC.
Thanks to anyone who can help me.

Configuration: Very low configuration..

  1. Hello

In the sound settings on Windows, under recording, you should have 'stereo mix' selected.

By selecting 'mic' instead (and setting the volume to 2/3, which you can adjust later), it should be fine. You can also take this opportunity to set the playback volume of the mic quite low to avoid feedback (the echo).
    1. And under Vista, do you know?
    2. Thank you for this help, I was able to fix the issue of self-monitoring in my headset.
    3. @jordinaHow did you do it? I have the same problem.
