Vinyl conversion to MP3

-

Hello, I am in the process of converting my vinyl records to MP3 using a JVC turntable and a USB drive, and I notice that some tracks "skip" when listened to on the USB drive or PC, even though they do not skip on the vinyl format. I would like to know the reason and how to fix it in advance. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

Is there, in fact, a cut in the sound, a short moment that desynchronizes..?

Or is it only the noise (static) similar to a jump that gives this impression.

-- It can be added that knowing the software used, the PC model, and the type of cabling would be helpful to make hypotheses with technical grounding..

    1. Hard to say, I’m leaning more towards a "desynchronization." It’s an ASUS PC, I record onto a USB key plugged into my player, then I transfer the tracks from the key to my PC. Thanks

      1. Good evening,

A USB drive that is too slow can cause this kind of problem...

        1. okay, I might look in that direction

          1. An unsuitable USB port can cause this type of problem as well. On an old PC, a USB 2.0 port can automatically throttle its speed. If you have a USB 3.0 port on your PC, try with a USB 3.0 flash drive.
          2. @MPMP10Hello,

Are they present on the USB flash drive?

Even then some may have been poorly converted or carry a codec that is not recognized.

Are they read on the PC directly from the USB drive, or is the drive only used to transfer them (in other words, do they become readable in the second case even though they are not readable in the first)?

Are they read individually or in a loop and then by an appropriate software?

In the second case, and starting from the USB drive, I may have a comparable behavior in my car: a certain number of files become completely transparent if they are numerous (more than 100) at the root of the drive or in the same folder; they reappear when copied into many folders not exceeding this limit.
