A write-protected drive is 99.99% dead. Unless, of course, there’s a switch on it, but those haven’t been sold in a long time. As for the potential recovery of files, even professional software won't be able to access it.

As for an 8 GB drive, don’t waste your time given the price has become very affordable at that capacity.

I did some research and the only lead I have is this one, but it doesn't detect SDTNRCAMA-008G.
