COCOLAND

Solved/Closed
Hello everyone,

I received an email about cocoland that was blocking me on MSN. Unfortunately, I signed up. Since then, my contacts on MSN no longer recognize me. I appear under the name cocoland. I'm furious. It's a hassle.
I looked on the cocoland page but found nothing to unsubscribe. Could you please help me? Thank you.

    Hello
I assume you provided your MSN username/password on Cocoland?
If so, change your password and MSN secret question right away.

    1. Hi
I also got caught but I don't think completely
when I gave my password and username I was logged into MSN and of course I logged out, so I immediately logged back in and there was an error message from them saying either bad password or bad login
Did they still manage to hack me???
In any case, thanks to your discussion I immediately went to change my password
      I hope it's okay
      But really, I didn't think
      Thanks
    2. @Titiayes me too I got caught
so I changed my password too
but I have Windows Live Messenger on my phone
and every time I log in, the username cocoland appears!
I wanted to change it but nothing works
so if anyone has a solution to suggest to me
      Thanks in advance!
    3. Thank you, that helped me a lot.. =D
    4. Have you tried uninstalling it from your phone and then reinstalling it
while changing the passwords or even just creating a new account?
  2. --check your programs to see if this site cocoland has been installed and if so, remove it. (control panel / add remove programs); in the future, avoid this kind of site that claims to tell you who is blocking you on msn, they are just scam sites that later send you a ton of ads, spywares, and other crap, not to mention that you risk having your messaging hacked in the future.
born, die and be reborn endlessly!! such is the law..
    1. I thank you for the advice... I checked, but Cocoland is not in my programs... it's just always in my place in MSN!!! If you have any other solutions, I'm all ears.

      Thank you
    2. @nathalieelkeI've checked in my programs too and it's not showing up
I've changed my password and everything else
      but it still shows up
      what to do ??
    3. @magI made the same mistake as you, but I don’t have a cocoland nickname on my MSN; however, I still changed my password and my security question.

To the one who calls us clueless, it means you must have made a mistake too and you don’t dare to admit it. Not everyone is tech-savvy, and this site is for those who, like me, make mistakes.

As they say, to err is human, and only machines don’t make mistakes, so unless you’re a robot, I think you make mistakes too.

To a good listener, hello clueless one.
    4. @magmag ??? where do you see cocoland??? because I don't see anything on my msn I did the same as you but I don't think I've been hacked... thanks for your reply
    5. @linetteIn fact, I think I haven't been hacked either
But as soon as I log in with my mobile phone, my username appears with cocoland.
and I don't know how to get rid of it!!
      I'm so frustrated
and indeed, when I log in with my phone, my contacts see me connecting as "cocoland"
If anyone has a solution, I would be grateful.
  3. You have to be foolish to give your username and password to an unknown site!
What's Google for? To check the legitimacy of a site! You bunch of idiots!
    1. there's really no need to be mean
it won't change anything about the problem
to err is human, we made a mistake and that's it
    2. There are only people like you who never make mistakes in principle...

    3. @nathalieelkeHi,
I almost got caught, luckily you created this topic here!
If you have unwanted software, one option is to press: Ctrl Alt Delete to see the list of programs that are running. If there’s one that looks like cocoland, you should close it.
Then you should go to the control panel to uninstall the program. If you can’t do it that way, let me know.

  4. Those who are nasty for no reason should be deported to Siberia. It's less easy to get out of it then. Saboteurs.
In the future, in any case, go to sites like Hoaxbuster, which lists all the scam websites and channels.

    Best regards, Comrade Commissioner.
    1. ok thank you stoline
have a good day to you
  5. Hi everyone, I recommend that you uninstall MSN from your computer and restore your programs to a date prior to the download of Cocoland.
    1. I uninstalled MSN and reinstalled it, but nothing works!
But what do you mean by restoring programs to a previous date?
Can you tell me how to do it?
      Thanks in advance
      mag
    2. @magChange simply your MSN passwords
Cocoland is a "malicious" site that retrieves your credentials to connect to your account and send advertisements ("spam") for its site and gather information about you ("spying")

PS: do not sign up for this kind of site, it never works!!!
    3. @Uncownfor magbut this is nonsense!!!!!!! LOL you want to help but you’re saying ridiculous things.....
you can’t reformat to retrieve your account, it has nothing to do with that.. your account has an identifier and a password, if it’s been hacked, reformatting the system won’t help you recover it..
the only thing to do, without telling nonsense like some IT pros here, is to open another MSN account and notify your friends or family of your new account, the hacker has already changed your password so it’s dead for regaining it.. that’s the only option and never give your ID or password to any ridiculous site that shows up, that’s it
  6. Hey....

A solution might be to do a "system restore" before the registration date for "cocoland" ...

Under XP: just go to; all programs -----> accessories -----> system tools -------> system restore

and there you go, job done ;-)

    Hugs
    1. I’m sorry to disappoint you! But you can format as many times as you want; once registered on the site (hosting), it’s over!!!

It’s the same principle as an account like MSN; once the PC is formatted or restored, the account doesn’t change!!!

The solution would have been to change the password immediately, but that’s what the hacker did first!!

So, the only option left is to import (if we manage to connect to the account, which is very, very hard) all your contacts and of course recreate an MSN address!! And from there, import the contacts.

I’ve heard it all!! A formatting..... or previous restoration WILL NOT HELP AT ALL!

      Sorry! Best regards, squale1979
      1. Hello
I wanted to know something, since I immediately went to change my password and it worked, I can log in with my account but with a different password
does that mean they couldn't hack me???
        thank you for answering me
        titia
      2. @TitiaNormally, if you have a different password, when they try to log in, it won’t work.
So there’s a good chance your issues will be resolved.
        bye :)
      3. @TitiaNo problem Titia, I don't understand why they get so worked up about not being cool. It's true that not everyone can have the same level of computer skills. And luckily, there are those who dare to ask questions, it really helped me avoid falling into the trap myself.
        Marc
      4. @peintreyes it's clear, I've reported it to the moderators anyway
because we are in a forum to help and not to insult

    2. Hello everyone
I finally have the solution for the problems on Cocoland
Like an idiot, after receiving an email from a friend telling me to see who had blocked me on MSN
I signed up and then bangggggg
my MSN had crashed, my MSN username was cocoland.fr
After searching for hours, I tried to add myself to my contacts on MSN, then turned off MSN and restarted it, and voilà, it worked .......
I hope it works the same for you
      See you later
      1. Just one thing: in the end, do we see who blocked us or not?! Because I received the famous invitation email from one of my contacts and I'm curious to know if he was just tricked by some malicious individuals, or if he finally managed to see the list of those who no longer want him to talk to them :)

    3. A piece of advice:

Before signing up on these kinds of sites, always check on Google

      cya++
      1. You remove your username from your contacts and then you put it back, disconnect and reconnect, and after that everything works fine, it's not that difficult, there you go.
        1. I cannot recommend this website enough, www.hoaxbuster.fr or .com, which informs you about all the hoaxes, scams, and other "pseudo viruses" out there.
I go there myself regularly to stay informed.
          The site is in French.
          1. Yes, I also received a message saying that on Cocoland we can see who blocked us, so 1 it didn't work and 2 I still had the name of Cocoland as my username. I changed my password and since then no more problems! There you go :)
            1. Hello everyone, I would like to know some information about the site COCOLAND
After receiving this message supposedly from a friend, I opened it and signed up with my email address

For a week, I was able to go on my MSN without any problems

At one point, a friend saw on his MSN that I had been on Cocoland, so he told me to change my MSN password
So I did, and it works normally

So I would like to know if there has been hacking or not

              Thank you in advance
              1. Cocoland is a big scam and this site allows them to enter your MSN address or addresses and take your contacts, blocking you whenever they wish.
Moreover, they can access your computer, which is serious.
The solution is to open MSN and go to your inbox, then go to my account, change your password and your secret question.
For your emails, it's simple: open your email box and do the following.
File, identity, manage identities, properties, change your password.
Do it quickly and avoid accepting this kind of site.
                1. sinon tu as l'antivirus pour le virus MSN Clean.
                  1. Hello everyone
a silly question: how do I delete my own MSN account because I am also infected with Cocoland
                    thank you in advance
                  2. @ethan145I just advise you to change your MSN password, go to https://login.live.com/login.srf?lc=1033, this is the page where the "Msn" site stores your emails, your profile, your username, your address book... you enter your MSN email address (123@hotmail.com for example) and your password below. Then, you click on "password" and then on modify, you enter your old password and then your new one twice to confirm it. Then you validate by retyping the requested characters.

I want to confirm that the Cocoland site is a malicious site, many people have been fooled. The site has retrieved your MSN username and password, with these, anyone can access your account and send emails from it (no need to have the msn software!!! which is only for chatting).
To convince you, exit msn (so it no longer appears in the taskbar) and go to https://login.live.com/login.srf?lc=1033, enter your msn username and password, and click on email and here you are in your MSN inbox!!!
So, no malicious software is installed on your computer... normal, since no software is downloaded from the cocoland site!

                    bye!
                  3. @ptit teufHello,

I have never had any problems with MSN since I downloaded CocoLand.
Except this morning, the site no longer opens.
                    Sincere regards!
                  4. @dadI also have big issues with Cocoland; as soon as I log in, it's not my username but Cocolande. I changed my password, but it doesn't work.
                  5. @lolabeaute62480On MSN, you go to Tools, then Options, and then Personal. You add your username, and there you go, your friends will see you like before.
                2. I'm sorry to tell you this, but to fall into such a low trap, you have to be slightly simple. Cocoland is a chat site like any other, except that it has a lure for the clueless who follow like sheep. So there's no solution, just open another MSN account, and honestly, people, you're not very bright.
                  1. There is only one way.. change your password on MSN and log out, then restart your MSN.. I tested it, no problems.. I recommend running an antivirus and anti-spyware test on your PC afterwards..
be careful, they use your password and read your incoming emails.. if you have important emails like bank registrations, etc.. take action quickly to change your passwords on those accounts as well!!!
I hope not too many of you have replied to this site.. otherwise, it’s not just a crisis.. it will be a crisis!!!!
I reported the site on gouv.fr, do the same!! It’s important to file a complaint in case of problems.
                    1. I, too, fell for Cocoland, I managed to unsubscribe and get back to "MSN". Go to your control panel, in your calendar, go back to the date before your Cocoland registration, and all your data will be updated. And you will be at peace. I did it, and now I am at peace, I recovered my old "MSN", all my contacts, I didn't lose anything. I hope it works for you too.
