Hello,
I’m also looking into the use of the @ symbol in Excel. I’ve seen in a file that this symbol can reference a number related to a column header. Let me explain: imagine a row of data with column titles; at the end of this row you can perform a calculation using the numbers from a given column by writing in the formula a combination of @ with the column title.
This is not, as far as I’m aware, Rock, the same as the @ used in cell formats that you’re asking about here.
Have you encountered this before?
Rock, can you tell me where you found the file and share it with us? Thank you!

Rather than a bad explanation, could you provide a concrete example or a file at https://www.cjoint.com/ Rock has not given any news for more than a year!

Hello,
You will find a good explanation in Excel help by searching for "custom number format"

hi @ is not used in formulas but in cell formats. for example when you want the text to be red if a number and blue if it's text in the custom format you should put [blue]@

Hello,
These aren’t custom cell formats; I’d be better off sending you a composed formula with the @ sign that I encountered in a file. Thank you

@Rock :
Indeed, asking the right question is an excellent idea, you will have a better chance of getting the right answer !!!

Rock, I didn’t understand what you want, and I don’t think Lydy answered your real problem. Can you explain in more detail?

Hello,
For the @ you have to press Alt Gr and @ at the same time
Rock
Hi,
I’m rephrasing my question to make it clearer: I’d like to know how the @ sign is used in an Excel formula.
