Solved

Hello,

I bought the LG KP500 and I would like to download games, but apparently it is not compatible with any games I find.
Could you please give me a website where the games are compatible with this phone? Thank you.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.4

    For the KP 500 games

it's simple, the LG Viewty has the same resolution and a touchscreen, SO load the games dedicated to the LG Viewty, a quick search on Google and you'll find everything.

    type ".jar viewty"

these are Java applications don .jar

as for video, DivX won't work but MPEG 4 will! I struggled with the settings, but I took screenshots of those that work with the ffmpegX software. If anyone is interested, please contact me at levarwest@gmail.com and I'll send them the details.

Hello, I would be interested in being able to see and download a video on my phone. On the other hand, your username strangely resembles the name of the place where I live... coincidence?!!

    Hello everyone,

I also acquired the very beautiful LG KP500.
And I am in the same situation as you...
And I would like to add a small request: what format should I convert my DivX to in order to be able to play them on this mobile?
    Thank you for your responses!!!

To convert your videos, it's simple: you need to encode them in MP4 or 3GP (but you'll lose quality with the latter), so use MP4 instead.

Salut.

Hi, for the kp500 to read your x divs you need to convert them to MP4, resolution 320, 240,
I have an LG KP 501, it's not more sophisticated, they are identical, with the 'SUPER BUIL or atube cacher software, it's up to you to decide.

convert your files to 3gp using the software WinAVI Video Converter 3GP, which you can find on Liberty-land in
      cracked version.

To play DivX, it's super simple: use Videora iPod Touch Converter. The video format for iPod Touch is the same as for the LG Cookie, plus you can also convert for all iPods, PSP, ...

      1) Download the Videora app and open it
      2) Go to the convert tab
      3) Click on "select file" and choose your movie
      4) The conversion lasts about an hour, then the movie is directly on iTunes
      5) From iTunes, drag the movie into a folder
      6) Either you put the movie via cable or you send it via Bluetooth (it doesn't take that long)

And there you go, it's done.

I think we can't change the theme, you can just put your own images as wallpaper.
I bought this laptop on Saturday and since then I've been looking and I keep coming across "we can't change the theme." I'll keep looking and let you know if I find anything.

I just found a trick: instead of turning your phone off and back on when it conflicts with an app, go to the main screen (when you're not doing anything, but not the standby screen), then just press the call button (green) and the hang-up button (red). A small menu will open, and you'll see apps in the "star" tab, and in the second tab "purple arrow," you'll find all the open apps. Just press "Close all," and then you can reconnect it or do whatever you want without any issues.

Hello, my first phone (a Nokia 5200) is one year old, and the screen shattered into a thousand pieces a week ago. So, I intend to buy a new phone; I'm interested in the LG KP 500, as well as the LG KP 501, which has just come out with Orange. I've seen that several people have had problems with the charger and the battery, in particular. Can you tell me what you think about the speed, battery life, fragility, and the pros and cons of the LG KP 500 or LG KP 501?

And what type of memory card do they use? Because on my old phone, it was a mini SD card; is that compatible?

Professional question: how can I recover my contacts with my broken screen? I think my directory was on the internal memory, but if it’s on my memory card, is there a way to retrieve it?

What are your adapters for the headphone jack?

Thanks for reading all this ^^, but it’s important to me, and I thank in advance those who will take an interest in their reply.

Funny coincidence, my second Nokia turned one year old just like the first one (out of warranty). Anyway.
Yes, micro SD memory cards are compatible with the LG KP501. However, the first time you insert the micro SD into your LG, it will format, so you will lose all your data (make sure to back it up beforehand).

As for me, there were no problems with the charger or the battery. Of course, the first time, let the battery completely discharge to avoid any issues. The battery life is very good. About 3 hours and 30 minutes of talking, gaming, etc.
348 hours on standby (not turned off)

So, to recover your contacts, take the SIM card from your operator (Orange, SFR, etc.) and put it in your new phone. If the contacts were on the chip, you just need to go to "menu," then "contacts," then "settings," and there you select "move contacts," and then click on "from phone memory to SIM memory."
If the contacts weren't there, you can still use Nokia PC Suite. However, you will still need to click on your phone to select the connection method; I don't remember which one it is.

As for the headset, it's not at all like for the Nokia.

Hello, I saw your message that now, after buying the "LG KP 501" gray version, not the white one ;(. For the little usage (1 hour), I find it great, I managed to recover a large part of my most important contacts with the SIM card. As for the micro SD card, I had trouble putting it in; you really have to push it all the way in, but it hasn't needed formatting, so that's cool. The only problem so far is that I’ve only once managed to rearrange the widgets and contacts by shaking, but I suppose I'll get the hang of it ^^. The integrated stylus is perfect, the photo and video quality is pretty good even though there are better options. The responsiveness is perfect, quite a few apps, including photo and video editing, which are quite good. More settings in the menu regarding the silent mode would have been nice... Anyway, go grab this marvel. I don’t see much difference between the 500 and 501 based on the videos I’ve seen of the 500; probably a few issues have been fixed. The AZERTY keyboard is very practical. By the way, did anyone find a jack adapter for the LG? Because I would like to continue enjoying my Nokia stereo headset worth 50 euros with the LG, especially next week when I go away for a week in Spain :)

Hello, I bought the KP 500 just a month ago and I would like to know if a 1 GB card would be enough to store a movie of about 2 hours?

Yeah, in mp4 format it works anyway, but it depends on the resolution of the movie, check how much it weighs in megabytes.

Arm yourself with a BIC pen, and press on your micro SD card with it, it comes out easily. If you don't have nails on your fingers, don’t insist, you won’t succeed; I couldn't eject mine at first because of that. If you can't do it with the pen, it means it's really stuck, then it’s up to you to decide between using a micro tweezer or if you don't care about your SD card, use quick-drying glue. Put a little on the tip of the card and stick anything to it, then pull, and there you go. Either you no longer have an SD card, or you've destroyed the slot for your SD card.

I also bought this awesome phone. To start, after a week of intensive use, no problems, no crashes, no slowdowns, just pure happiness.

For videos, they need to be converted beforehand to 3gp files (I use the free and very easy-to-use Internet Video Converter, you just need to choose the highest available resolution in 3gp format (320/240), with this resolution, the videos are super smooth and the image remains of good quality; moreover, a divx file of about 700mb goes down to about 200mb after conversion. You just need to put them in the video directory of the Kp500 and enjoy full-screen videos.

Hello, I have a problem. I have games on my PC, but when I try to transfer them to my LG KP500, the connection drops and a message on the phone displays: "Execution impossible En conflit avec(rechercher)" and on my PC, the message says "Connection failed to mobile. Please check the COM port and connect to the screensaver."
Can someone explain what to do, please? Thank you =)

snooptom59 it is completely normal because LG prohibits installing games with PC Suite. To get around this, you put them on your memory card via mass storage, then on your phone you go to personal, others, and you do install. There you go.

Hello, I'm not sure if I'm on the right forum, but I read the article above
and it turns out that I have a similar problem,
I'm trying to upload a photo or access my personal files with
PC SUITE II, and it tells me to check the "COM port"
and my phone says there's a conflict with the keylock....

then if my problem is resolved, could you tell me where I could find themes for the LG KP500

    thank you in advance

In fact, when you have a problem with the keylog, think about unlocking the laptop, otherwise turn it off and then turn it back on because in most cases, it's an application that didn't close properly.

Check that the screen is unlocked, and select storage on the phone when you connect it. You also need to install what’s on the CD provided with your LG; it should normally work without any issues.

No need to install the software provided on the CD. However, you are right, it is probably the screen that is locked. If another problem occurs such as "In conflict with ...", check my response a bit higher.

Hello, I would like to revisit the topic of videos as I am having trouble converting my videos correctly. Let me explain:

They say you need to set the videos to MPEG-4 or 3GP format, which I have done, and that the resolution should be 320/240, which I can't find, so I set it to a lower resolution. Then I put the video on my card, and when I try to play the video, it tells me that it can't be played. So, I think this is because the resolution is not correct, but I can't find any software that converts exactly to the required resolution I want (I have the Super software, but I don't have the correct resolution). So can someone please help me, and if it can be done with the PC Suite II software, please let me know how to do it. Thank you!

I encountered this problem, having used the same site to convert my videos to mp4, part of it indicated the same message. According to a friend, it is indeed the mp4 format, but the mp4 movies, which are not the same. After that, I haven't checked yet, just coming back from a week in Spain an hour and a half ago ^^.

Otherwise, I would like to inform those who want to buy the kp 501 that the 10 games included are partly games where 5 attempts are allowed, after which you need to buy the game. The 3 fully touch games (roulette, plumber, dice game) are free.

For my part, the problem is that if I select storage, it only displays "music" and the other options like Java are grayed out, making them impossible to select.
