Lorsque vous souhaitez installer un correctif Windows XP, vous recevez le message d'erreur : le programme d'installation n'a pas pu vérifier l'intégrité du fichier update.inf. Assurez-vous que le service de cryptographie est en cours d'exécution sur cet ordinateur.

I have exactly the same problem and I don't see any response to this question... I installed Service Pack 2, but a reboot in the middle of the first boot under this new pack messed everything up... I would therefore need to reinstall it, but here is the relentless message of "update.inf".

I finally gave up on installing the patch I wanted. In fact, it was because I had a problem with DirectX. I installed the latest DirectX and installed Service Pack 2 normally without any bugs. I haven't had that message anymore. I don't know if it has to do with DirectX, but I know that version 9b causes a lot of issues.
