Consuel

Hello,

I just had construction done, the consuel came (at the request of the electrical installer) but they are asking me to redo a new certificate of conformity (so an additional 106 euros for a visit) because it’s me who is running the power cable and that wasn't done yet. I’M STRUGGLING A BIT TO FILL OUT THIS CERTIFICATE AND WHEN WE CALL THEM, no one answers, they are always busy. What should I do?
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

So you have a new inspection where you need to fill out a certificate for EDF to come and connect the power!

If the Consuel has to come back, a new Consuel request is necessary! A paid re-inspection!

You need the cable length 2x25 + tele report? If you have less than 40m.

When we have an inspection, the cable always passes!

This length is calculated theoretically! To send the Consuel request. The cable is installed afterwards!

It’s the installer who is supposed to take care of this paper! If you didn’t do the electricity, it’s not up to you to fill it out! Go see the electrician after you’ve laid your cable! The length will be requested!

You need to detail! The number of circuits, the number of lamps...

Indeed, requesting an electrical installation inspection by a consuel requires that the installation is connected to the EDF network (following very precise standards - trench, conduit and regulatory protection). Beware, electrical standards have become very strict (e.g., normally, a bulb must be protected (in general). IN SHORT! Never call a consuel if the installation is not finished and deemed so by the professional.
You chose to connect the main electrical network to the installation yourself, and as this service was not completed at the end of the company's work, they should have informed you of your obligations and warned you that without effective connection, they would inspect the installation as it stands, and that non-compliance (for which they are not responsible) would result in a new visit at your expense for any new inspections.
In short! You are solely responsible for the services you reserved and their deadlines for completion, hence this additional cost.
