Hello everyone,

basic Excel problem: I want to add 2 to all the cells in my column. It responds with a circular reference error!

How can I get around this?

Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

    a very simple way:

    - Type the value you want to add in a cell.
    - Copy that cell
    - Select the range of values to which you want to add
    - Do a 'special paste' from the "Edit" menu, and choose in the dialog box: addition
    - And there you go!

That's how I switched to euros, with a copy divided by 6.55957 in all my cells...

We can also do many other things with special paste: reverse rows with columns, copy the result of a formula (and not the formula itself)...

    See you, Blux
