Morocco map for TomTom GPS Solved/Closed

Hello,
I have a TomTom XL Europe GPS, and I'm looking for whether I can download a map of Morocco so I can visit Morocco with it, or if there’s a way, like software, to create the map manually even for the major routes. Thank you for the reply.

I found a suuuper site that I think can be useful for anyone who needs precise maps of Morocco; emap.ma; I just discovered this site! There are even city maps with street search! Finally, a good working document!

Hello, for those who are looking for GPS maps of Morocco, the only one that offers it here in Morocco is Garmin. They have detailed maps with city plans. If you are in Europe, it's better to buy it there as it will cost you less.

Chabi33, BEFORE you respond, take the trouble to consult the official Tomtom website: IT DOES NOT OFFER a map of Morocco.

Momo: keep this in mind too, the GPS system works worldwide! You obviously need to have geo-referenced maps. Have you ever wondered how the Paris Dakar and other raids still navigate in Morocco, through desert areas? Here’s the answer: they use a GPS connected to a PC, and on this PC runs navigation software (for example, Oziexplorer) that accepts geo-referenced maps and indicates your position on that map, OR another more compact, easier system: a PDA (also a GSM under Windows Mobile equipped with GPS: HTC, etc...) with the same Oziexplorer software and calibrated maps, and it works perfectly!! (that’s what I use in Morocco)
For example, you can find a free version on the oziexplorer website, along with calibrated maps of all of Morocco on gpsmaroc.net. You can also geo-reference any map you have scanned or downloaded (but this requires a bit of practice and time if you want to cover an entire country!!)
Personally, I have been using these techniques for many years (and without wanting to attack our Moroccan friends, who have been discovering GPS for a few months), GPS and other alternatives have been available in Europe for over 10 years, so I think it's preferable to listen to the advice of experienced people. ...

The same map is available for TomTom and other brands of GPS; it is currently the most comprehensive for Morocco.
On this same site, a Garmin Nuvi 200 GPS with this Morocco map is offered for just under 200 euros. The site contains the contact details of the Garmin representative in Casablanca (you can also purchase just the map in France for 60 euros).

Similarly, I use the TOPO Morocco map paired with Citymap on my Garmin Nuvi 265W; the details are astonishing, in imperial cities like Fes and Marrakech, even the small alleys of the old medinas are referenced!
