Anyway, no matter how well you adjust your amp, it's always going to sound like crap... I'm thinking of changing it to get a Marshall amp, and then it's going to rock big time, lol.

I only give my opinion without really doing it

Marshall !! If it's to get a transistor combo .. I've had one ... it's not worth its price ...

      What gear do you have

      neither Gibson .. nor Marshall

      I had a Fender ... once upon a time

Hi, I recommend (if you don't know yet) to check out the Guitar Part forum, you'll find more answers there than here and especially more advice!

Otherwise, for a good metal sound, you have the Metal Zone pedal that you can find not too expensive second-hand! I used it for a long time, but I'm not sure what it can give with your amp, because with just the sound from your amp it must be really limited for metal.

Uh, with a Stagg amp, I think it will be hard to find a rock metal sound; it would be better to look towards a multi-effects amp from brands like Vox or Fender. Or you could buy a pedal just to get a good distortion. You can find some decent ones for around €70-80.

I also have a Stagg amp and my guitar is a Gibson SG-400. I admit that the amp is TOTAL CRAP... but I still managed to get a somewhat clear sound.

    Here are my settings:

    Gain: 10/10 (maxed out)
    Treble: 10/10 (maxed out)
    Mid: 10/10 (maxed out)
    Para Mid: 9/10 or 8/10
    Bass: 2/10 or 3/10
    DEPLAY: 2/10 or 3/10

So these are my settings, then you can play around with it... give it a try and let me know how it goes ^^

    That's it!

Yes, based on the settings, we can see that the amplifier is crap! The only thing that sounds good is the bass adjustment, otherwise the rest is just terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus, we have to say that it's a Chinese amplifier, so it's cheap! And it's only 20 watts!

What is the point .. the Gibson .. if it's to play it on a "piece of junk" like that??

Well, that goes well together! The Stagg was designed for Gibson because of its shitty sound! Sorry Slash, but I’ll never budge on this!
